U-20 World Cup/ Copa Mundial Sub-20 Semi-Final FRA – POR

The first leg of the semi-final of the 2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup, and last match in the city of Medellín, was played in the Atanasio Girardot stadium on 17 August. The highly anticipated game which ended 2-0 sent Portugal to the finals in Bogotá, leaving France to fight for third place in the competition.

Later that night, the second leg of the semi-final—a duel between Brazil and Mexico— revealed that the World Cup final, to be played on 20 August in Bogotá’s El Campín stadium, will be played between Portugal and Brazil, who beat the Mexicans 2-0.

El primer partido de la semi-final de la Copa Mundial FIFA Sub-20, y el último en la ciudad de Medellín, se disputó en el estadio Atanasio Girardot el 17 de agosto. El anticipado partido que terminó 2-0 envió a Portugal a la final en Bogotá, dejando a Francia a pelear por el tercer puesto en el campeonato.

Esa misma noche se coronó Brazil como ganador de la segunda semi-final ante Méjico (2-0), y se supo que la final de la Copa Mundial, que se juega el 20 de agosto en el estadio Campín de Bogotá, será entre Portugal y Brazil.
