Get Off the Trail Colombia

I first started Get Off the Trail when I was moved to Santa Marta, a city in Colombia’s northern Caribbean coast, in 2013. But I kind of lost track of my little travel agency as I went farther and farther away from home, seeking new paths and adventures all over the world. (You can check out my photos here!)

All these years later, I want to bring GOtT back and share everything Colombia has to offer with anyone curious to know more about the country. Because despite my complicated relationship with Colombia, it never ceases to amaze me and remind me why I love it.

Do you dream of travelling Colombia but don’t know where to start? Are you looking for unique places and experiences? Do you love travelling but hate planning?
You’ve come to the right place!

I’ve been travelling Colombia for years and I’ve done a lot of it alone, using buses and boats and tuk-tuks and mototaxis, staying at hostels and rural home stays and everywhere in between. So I know my way around. But Colombia can be challenging if you don’t know the language or aren’t used to the wonderful chaos that it inevitably entails.

I‘ll give you tips so you can explore Colombia both on and off the trail and do it like a local, and if you’re still feeling unsure, I can tag along as your guide so you can just relax and enjoy all the beauty this unique land has to offer.
