Paris 2018

My second trip to Paris was even more magical than the first as I had nearly two months to live in and explore the city during the spring of 2018.

Grande Mosquée

The Grand Mosque in Paris, located in the 5th Arrondissement and inaugurated in 1926, is a beautiful place of worship defined by its intricate tiled floors and walls and its lush outdoor garden. If you get a chance to go, don’t miss out! There’s a small entrance fee and visitors must be dressed modestly. It’s also worth a visit to the coffee shop behind it to endulge in delicious Middle Eastern pastries and mint tea.

La Gran Mezquita en París, ubicada en el 5to Distrito e inaugurada en 1926, es un hermoso lugar religioso conocido por sus paredes y pisos en azulejos y su exuberante jardín exterior. Si tienes la oportunidad de ir, no te la pierdas. Hay una pequeña tarifa de entrada y se debe ir vestido modestamente. También vale la pena visitar el café detrás de la mezquita para deleitarse con pasteles del Medio Oriente y tomarse un té de menta.

The City

I am one of those people hopelessly in love with Paris. From my first visit to the French capital, I was captivated by its essence, its bridges and canals, its history and architecture, and of course, the food. There’s just something special about taking a walk along the Seine or Montmartre on a sunny afternoon, or people-watching from a café, or reading a book and enjoying a glass of wine in one of the city’s many parks.

Soy una de esas personas perdidamente enamorada de París. Desde mi primera visita a la capital francesa, quedé cautivada con su esencia, sus puentes y canales, su historia y arquitectura, y por supuesto, la comida. Siento algo muy especial al caminar por las orillas del Sena o por las callejuelas de Montmartre en una tarde soleada, o ver la gente pasar desde un café, o leer un libro y disfrutar un vino en uno de los parques de la ciudad.

Landmarks

I had already visited most of the famous landmarks so this time I focused more on exploring the city, slowly, thoroughly, calmly. Still, I couldn’t help but visit the Eiffel Tower multiple times and see the magnificent Lady of Iron surrounded by the cherry blossoms of springtime.

Ya había visitado la mayoría de los monumentos más famosos así que esta vez me enfoqué más en explorar la ciudad lentamente, a fondo, con calma. Igual no me pude resistir visitar la Torre Eiffel varias veces y ver la magnífica Dama de Hierro rodeada de cerezos en la primavera.
