The clock towers of Bratislava.

Bratislava’s UFO Tower is an icon of the Slovakian capital, standing 95 metres above the Danube and boasting the best view in the city. Construction on the observation deck and the bridge below it began in 1967, and its restaurant and bar attract visitors form all over the world.

View of the Bratislava Castle from the UFO Bridge over the Danube River. Fortifications have existed on this hill in the Slovakian capital for thousands of years, but the last reconstruction of the current castle took place in the 1950s - ‘60s.

Bratislava is like no other city, bringing together the old and new, classic and Soviet and modern all in one place.

Summer was desperately clinging on to Vienna.

One of the things I loved the most about Vienna was the intricate details of the statues that dot the city. The craftsmanship is truly remarkable!

In the moat just outside the halls and grand rooms of the castle palace live two lonely bears, part of a tradition that started back in the early XVI Century.

This Gothic/Renaissance Castle Tower offers amazing views of Český Krumlov and a peek into its history as the interior is now a museum. Construction began in the XIII Century and it was reconstructed in 1947.
