Puente Iglesias

The second set of photographs from Get Off the Trail’s Andean Trail in Puente Iglesias, Antioquia. Nestled in a valley in the Andes mountain range, right by the Cauca river, it has a hot climate due to its low altitude, representing quite a change from Venecia, where the other half of the Andean trail is spent. This trail will take you through mountains, waterfalls, and historical towns, where you can experience the real paisa adventure.

La segunda serie de fotografías del Camino Andino de Get Off the Trail nos lleva a Puente Iglesias, Antioquia. Escondido en un valle de la cordillera de los Andes, a las orillas del Río Cauca, tiene un clima más caliente debido a su baja altitud, representando un cambio significante comparado a Venecia, donde se pasa la otra mitad del Camino Andino. Este camino te llevará a entre montañas, cascadas, y pueblos históricos, donde puedes experimentar la verdadera aventura paisa.

Photographs from Get Off the Trail’s Andean Trail in Venecia, Antioquia. Although these photographs only account for part of the Trail, you get the idea of mountain life: milking cows, making cheese, horseback riding, beautiful sunsets, and everything that the Andes represent. High up in the mountains, this part of the trail is about enjoying the cooler climate, the fog, the rain, the moss, and those amazingly clear sunny days.

Aunque las fotos sólo muestran parte del Camino Andino, representan la idea principal de la vida montañera: ordeñando vacas, haciendo queso, montando a caballo, atardeceres espectaculares, y todo lo que significa la vida Andina. Muy arriba en las montañas, esta parte del camino se trata de disfrutar del clima más fresco, la neblina, la lluvia, el musgo, y esos increibles días soleados.
