Con la intención de darle vida a un proyecto a gran escala sobre las minorías y grupos de personas vulnerables y marginados en Colombia, aquí presento la segunda instalación del proyecto Los Invisibles, una serie de retratos de personas quienes trabajan en la plaza de mercado La América en Medellín.
Estos personajes, algunos silenciosos y estoicos, otros teatrales y sonrientes, forman el movimiento y la humandad de la plaza, traen a vida el ordinario acto de comprar alimentos, y convierten lo que sería una ocasión mundana en un recordatorio que la experiencia humana vive y respira en cada rincón de nuestras vidas cotidianas.
Quiero agradecer a todos quienes me permitieron tomar su retrato. Espero regresar con más tiempo para así registrar un rango más amplio de experiencias.

With the intention of bringing to life a large-scale project about minorities and vulnerable and marginalised groups in Colombia, here is the second edition of The Invisibles which portrays those who work at La America market place in Medellin.
These characters, some quiet and stoic, others theatrical and smiling, make up the movement and humanity of the market, bringing to life the ordinary act of grocery shopping, turning this otherwise mundane occasion into a reminder that the human experience lives and breathes in every corner of our daily lives.
I’d like to thank everyone who allowed me to take their portrait. I hope to return with more time to register a greater range of experiences.
