Jardin (“Garden” in Spanish) is a small town in Antioquia’s southwest in Colombia, nestled in a valley in the Western Range of the Andes. It’s a colonial municipality and its cobble-stoned streets are lined with old houses with colourful doors and balconies laden with flowers; its plaza is big and open and its church a relic which represents the wealth of the conquistadors.

Jardin also offers many activities for tourists, from birdwatching–including the Andean Cock-of-the-Rock–and visits to the trout farms and sugar cane mills, to paragliding and ecotourism hikes, such as the one to the Cave of Splendour.

With its colonial architecture and its adventurous side, Jardin offers activities for everyone, and of course, the landscapes are truly amazing. There are several hotels in the town centre, like Hotel Jardin, which also has cabins at Filo de Oro (“Golden Edge”), from where you can see the entire town.
